Amigurumi Cupcake by pixie--stick Amigurumi Cupcake by pixie--stick
Same story as the coffee cup, also made for my mom.

My favorite part is the sprinkles, which were made with seed beads.

Ok, I have to know - Does your mom know that you're making these, or do you secretly make them and hide them in their appropriate locations (like how the coffee was on the desk and the cupcake is in the pantry) until she finds them??? Like, ninja plush!

Yeah, I did hide the coffee and cupcake... Seeing as I'm always doing that sort of thing, no one was surprised, though.

Perhaps if I hid them in more unexpected locations? Like glove compartments and chest cavities?

Haha! I would love to see the look on someone's face when they open a glove compartment and find something like a tiny carton of milk!!!

Adorable. Your mum's one lucky woman (:

Do you know what the -smallest- size possible is to make 'em in?

Smallest size? I really wouldn't know. The book says that the average size was three inches tall, but I guess you could alter the pattern or crochet tighter to shrink it.

The book also says that they make "great pin cusions"... That's pretty tiny, I guess.

Thanks for the reply! (:

I'm just starting to learn how to crochet. I've actually yet to buy the needles/hooks... But yeah.
